Ok first,im really quite pissed by those bitchy tchers who think the students r the only one at fault.EXCUSE ME?What the fuck man,ask us admit our faults the dun admit, then blame the students. So,this is adapted from Chermaine's blog:
So this morning our choir teacher in charge was reprimanding liyin. I went up and realised she's talking about MAF that night.
So apparently the teachers in the chinese department says that the Choir don't want to sing.
Hello teachers, we don't want to sing? If we don't want to sing, we wouldn't have spent one ENTIRE practice to practise, we wouldn't have even bothered to stay till 9pm for that event. We would have just go home or just straight away reject and say we don't want to perform for MAF.
Why is it that the teachers only blame us that we didn't have a student conductor conducting that night? Why didn't the teachers blame THAT ONE PARTICULAR TEACHER who asked the infocomm members to stop our music when we were already singing? We had to sing without music and how the rest of the 60+ people were still confused at why the music was stopped HALFWAY. I'm not blaming the infocomm here, I'm just saying that if the teachers admit their mistakes too, I don't mind being scolded. But the thing is we were being scolded and reprimanded for thing that was not entirely our fault.
The teachers should be blamed or reprimanded too. I've already debriefed the choir and told the choir to take it positively and learn lessons from there. But why is it that you people as the adults don't even know the same logic? Or is it that you teachers know that the event is screwed up and you're just blaming the students so that you all can get away with it?
You weren't even there to witness what happened that night and how chaotic it was. Imagine if we didn't go down on our own accord, imagine if we waited for the teachers who said that they will get people to call us when is our turn to perform. Probably the choir not even on the stage when is our turn to perform. The teachers only started to look for us a few mins bfore the performance. You should have praised us that we actually went down early and prepare even without a single teacher in charge with us. Or at least acknowledge our efforts. Not just scold us about what happened when (I repeat) IS NOT ENTIRELY OUR FAULT. Our fault is only not stepping out to conduct the choir.
The main culprit is one of the organiser of that night's event. You should blame him too. Not just us. AND THAT'S JUST ACCUSING US. SAYING THAT WE DON'T WANT TO SING.
The choir put in heart and soul to prepare for that night. Words like these are just gonna bring the whole choir down.
Unreasonable teachers. If you wanna scold or punish, scold everyone including the teachers. The students are not people for you to bully or just scold so that you get a way out.
