Yesterday was an EXTREMELY suay day, first i heard i may have flunked math, then choir ms yin kna pissed at us big time, then my parents scold me and keep talking about lady gaga is a bad influence. Thus,im gonna write to them a 'letter'.Im not goin to give it to them,im just gonna put it up here
A letter to my parents
Dear mum and dad,
I know u love me and wany to protect me,but protecting me at waht cause?Until i am so old fashioned that the old ladies r hippier than me?Or i get bullied so much that i get diagnosed with depression?Do u know that in primary school, when i was so sweet and 'innocent',did u ever see how bad i felt, when i got bullied and taunted everyday at school,so much so that i would cry?Did you know that?Bet u didnt. Now in secondary school,im not unpopular anymore,i stand up for myself, and unlike last time,i was not faking when i smile.
Then, about me being a lady gaga fan.U always think shes a bad influence. Why?Bcos she wears skimpy outfits?Other than that??!!!U always tell me not to judge a book by its cover, but thats exactly what you are doing.Do you know what good influence she has?She stands up against prejudice against any race or sexuality, and she is very smart,if you hear any of her interviews, she is very philosiphical and profound. She also works very hard, and unlike other artists, who take years to write albums, she muliti tasks while touring and can make an album while on tour. She also is very nice, and no matter what any artist says about her,she does not bad mouth them. And she is never seen being a diva and she is always kind and nice to all her fans. And most importantly, she teaches all of us that being different is okay, and it is great to embrace who u r and not changing it for everyone. And she has made me,somehow become more confident. From not being able to sing in front of anyone to conduct sectionals to my section. Also, her 'provocative' outfits are a form of art.Like what she said once, "A girl’s got to use what she’s given and I’m not going to make a guy drool the way a Britney video does. So I take it to extremes. I don’t say I dress sexily on stage - what I do is so extreme. It’s meant to make guys think: ‘I don’t know if this is sexy or just weird."
And she does it to make statements too.Like for her meat dress, she had a reason for wearing it,it was to say that 'if people did not stand up for what they believe in,they will be left with as much rights as the meat on their bones'
I love you,but i hope that you would appreciate me for who i am,stop trying to change it,and making assumptions about the things i believe in'
